Description

Soviet Union Order of the Red Banner of Labor, "cone-shaped rivets", #664810, circa early 1960s issue, very seldom. Original
Silver gilt, enamels. Uncommon version by the Russkie Samotsvety (Russian Gemstones) Factory, featuring very distinctive cone-shaped rivets. The factory produced only three relatively small series of Red Banners of Labor in late 1959 - early 1965. This particular specimen belongs to the second series with the serial numbers between 443901 and 693900.
In excellent condition. The enamel is almost perfect, having only a tiny surface flake to the bottom of the red star - unnoticeable to the naked eye - and a few microscopic contact marks elsewhere. The gilt and details of the wreath are perfect; shows nice silver patina to both the obverse and reverse. Comes on original 2-layer suspension device in steel, with old ribbon. The connecting link is original and has not been cut.
